Wife Gets Lost 35-Year-Old Letter In Mail. But When She Reads Proposal At The End, She’s Floored

In Lisman, Alabama, just in time for Valentine’s Day, a stunning discovery was made. This discovery wouldn’t have been possible without an equally stunning discovery last week, on February 7, when a love letter arrived at the home of Quietha and John Rodgers.

The love letter had been long lost for almost 35 years.

The interesting part was that the letter was addressed to Quietha, from John.

However, they are not the same people today that they were 30 years ago.

“We’re saying that it has to be at least 33 years old because it’s in my maiden name,” said Quietha.

The letter was also addressed from the base where John, a retired Marine Sergeant, was stationed in North Carolina during the 1980s.

He had intended on sending it, but never did.

“It had a 20 cent stamp on it. It had never been mailed before,” he said.

When asked if he remembered what he had written to Quietha so many years ago, John laughed and said, “I’m just as curious as she is. I don’t know what I put on there; it’s been over 30 years ago.”

Together, they decided to wait until Valentine’s Day to open it up.

Once Quietha did open it, she was floored, nearly moved to tears.

“Oh, my goodness. This is almost 35 years old. It’s dated June 22, 1982,” she said.

That wasn’t the end of the surprises. What the couple read at the end brought them both to tears.

I won’t spoil the video — just know that love stood the test of time!
